Where the authority stops is your setting
Decide what YATFA may start, what it may approve and what always waits for a person — per project, one switch at a time. The limits live on the server, so an instruction to a model can’t talk its way past them.
Three kinds of work, three kinds of approval
Small, safe work is checked by an agent at every level. Larger work waits for you until you switch it over. Operational changes always wait for a person.
Checked by an agent
Tests, documentation, small fixes and small refactors — at every level, from the first one.
Waits for you — until you switch it
Tasks, refactors and enhancements. “Approve larger proposals” hands these over.
Always a person
Operational changes alter the system, not the code. No switch changes this.
Boundaries a prompt can’t talk around
Someone hides an instruction in the code. The agent that wrote the change reads it and tries. The server checks every change of state — and the agent that wrote the code has no way to approve it.

Every step is on the record
Each tool call and its outcome, every change of state and every review verdict — with a time, readable by anyone on the project, in the app or over the API.
